Fun with Raspberries

Clearly all of the sun exposure made us crazy today! My mom and Emma decided to make "raspberry" people and use them as finger puppets. It was quite amusing! Unfortunately, by the time I had gotten the camera, Emma had eaten her entire raspberry village! All that was left to photograph was one lonely raspberry person appropriately named "Annie" for her red curly mop! The fun may be over and the raspberries eaten...but can someone tell me how long the faces made of Sharpie markers are going to last on your fingers?!

Soakin' up the sun!

Goodbye cold and hello sunshine! Just in time for the holiday weekend, the weather in Upstate NY decide to cooperate! We enjoyed a fun picnic with my family today and my niece and nephew had a blast swimming. The heater in the pool hasn't been turned on yet, but Emma was brave enough to dive right in. I put my toes in and after about 30 seconds they were numb...it will be a while before I'm swimming! Tyler was his usual crazy self today and we've decided he's going to be the next Tom Cruise (minus the Scientology fetish, of course!). We hope the warm weather will last! We're starting to get a little jealous of our family to the south and all of their boating and swimming stories : )

Happy Mothers Day!

Since we didn't get a chance to send out flowers, we'd like to send a special "Happy Mother's Day" blessing to two wonderful mothers who are currently many miles away in the Sunshine State! To Lynee and Erica - you amaze us with all you do for you beautiful children and we truly hope you enjoyed your special day! To our mothers and my sister Melissa - it was great to spend time with all of you today and honor you for all that you do! We love you all very much!

Spring has sprung!

Since the weather decided to finally become nice around Central NY, we've been spending a lot of time and effort on our yard. Thankfully the people living here before us had some sense to put some landscaping beds in the yard for curb appeal...unfortunately they didn't do a very nice job maintaining them! We've put a lot of sweat into this yard and it's really starting to come together. It was non-stop once the mulch arrived! We even put in a new bed alongside of our retaining wall to make our yard a bit more "cozy". Over time the grass should start to look nicer as well and I think we'll have the nicest yard on the block! Now onto the outside of the house...painting! More updates to come as the projects continue!

Tiny Dancer

Emma had her annual recital this past weekend and as always...she was GREAT! She did a solo to the Annie song entitled "Maybe". It was a beautiful character piece and she looked adorable! She was quite tired after dancing over and over...oh the life of a competitive dancer! Next weekend she has competition here in Syracuse and I'm sure she'll do fantastic! I'm so proud of my beautiful niece!
